Week of prayer for SWBa Church plants is May 20-27
Next week is a Week of Prayer for seven churches which have started in the last three years.   Prayer requests and contact information are shared in the May newsletter.   Your prayer and partnership is greatly appreciated for these new churches as they continue to share the gospel and make disciples.
story of a changed life
This month we are highlighting the story of Andrew Najdowski (pronounced Na-dow-ski).   His story is one of coming to Christ in one SWBA church and now serving in a new church plant after college graduation.    We are thankful to the Lord for being at work in people like Andrew.

block party training and executive team meeting
Over the past five years we have seen the Lord use block parties in many different ways to reach people with the gospel and connect with those outside of our church walls.  This Saturday we are going to have some testimonies about these reports how God has worked.  We are also going to share how to use the block party trailer and help your churches be prepared and equipped to host a block party in your community.    Be sure to join us this Saturday for our Executive Team meeting at 9:00 a.m. and our Block Party Training at 11:00 a.m.

 update
News and reports are coming in showing that are churches are gaining strength.  One way we see new strength is when leaders are raised up inside the church.   The first Sunday in March I had the privilege of being with Pastor Jef Skinner at Gospel Baptist Church in Sparta when they installed Jeff Mertes as an elder.   Jeff has an amazing testimony and will be a strong leader at Gospel for years to come.   We pray the Lord continue to raise up leaders in our churches.
april 21 meeting will offer block party training
Our next meeting will offer block party training for all leaders who are interested in block parties.   We have found that training is very helpful.     Please join us at Trinity Baptist in Reedsburg on April 21.   See the newsletter for more information.

January was a very active month for our association.   At our January 21 meeting in Sparta we welcomed in Hope In Christ Assembly, a church plant that is reaching African nationals in the city of Madison.   We also took a group of 16 people to Indianapolis for the North Central States Rally January 24-26.   See the newsletter for more information on Hope In Christ and how you can pray.
a look ahead at leadership training in march with empower  om
One of the best training events of the year for our churches is coming up in March at Green Lake Conference Center.   Empower is an annual event geared to equip pastors and lay leaders for ministry here in Wisconsin.   There are plenary speakers along with many different breakout sessions that can be helpful in equipping your church.    See www.mwbc.org for more details and our newsletter for a general schedule.
