Henry and Richard Blackaby come to Madison

For the weekend of May 13-14 Henry and Richard Blackaby led teaching on hearing God.  The Blackabys have taught in more than 120 countries of the world and they have more than 7 million books in print in 50 languages.     The theme of the weekend for our conference was on Hearing God.    We were reminded that we hear God through the Word, prayer, the Church, and circumstances.   Sessions led by Henry and Richard covered these topics.

With 150 people in attendance the participants were reminded that eternal life is a relationship with Christ.    Teaching on John 17:3 Henry Blackaby reminded us that eternal life is first and foremost a relationship with Jesus.  John 17:3 says, “And this is eternal life, that they may know the only true God, and Jesus Christ whom you have sent.”

At the end of the weekend both Henry and Richard shared that they had a very enthusiastic response from those in attendance.    People from churches across Wisconsin and Minnesota were there to learn how to hear God’s voice.  Many denominations were also represented including City Church who hosted the event.

One book that is recommended for leaders is their new revised edition of Spiritual Leadership. Both Blackabys meet regularly with pastors and leaders from the business world.   Their insights in this book are very helpful no matter what position of leadership you may currently have in your organization.

Many thanks go to all those who worked so hard to make the weekend possible.   Thank you to the people of Transformation Church who led worship, took care of registration, and the book table.    We are also very thankful to City Church and their missions team for hosting us for lunch.  Thank you to all those of you across the country who prayed for this event and keep praying for the impact of it to be felt in our churches.
