This summer we have seen numerous mission teams come from across the United States to serve our churches from La Crosse to Madison. We are very thankful for the many partners who are making a difference for Jesus in the lives of so many people in our churches and communities. Here are some of the highlights from this summer.
In mid June a group of 140 people came from Shades Mountain Baptist Church of Birmingham, Alabama to help our churches in La Crosse. This group worked with Three Rivers Fellowship Church and Hmong Mission Fellowship of La Crosse. Steven Short, our new church planting intern, worked to organize this group as they did block parties, concerts, and various community projects.
Our partnership with the Bell Baptist Association of Texas continued this summer as churches from First Baptist Church of Holland, Texas and Miller Heights Baptist Church of Belton, Texas came to serve. Both of these groups worked with the Kids’ Best program at Midvale Baptist and Hope In Christ Assembly Church in Madison. We are very thankful to Colton White and Jeff Burns for leading these teams to minister in Jesus’ name.
The Greater Cleveland County Baptist Association of North Carolina also returned for a sixth straight summer. They served numerous churches in Madison including Madison Hmong Baptist, Campus Community Church, Hope In Christ Assembly Church, Brotherly Love International Church, Red Village Church, and they also continue to help us with Hispanic ministry. Over time this group has seen new churches get started and grow. We are very thankful to Keith Dixon and Rebekah Shumate for their leadership in putting their trip together.
Please pray all the gospel seeds that were sown this summer will grow and bear fruit in the days to come. We did see numerous people accept Christ as their Savior this summer. We know many other lives have been touched. We pray God’s glory is brought to the nations through the ministry of our churches.
