Joey Hamick of North Carolina sharing the Lord with children at the block party for Hope in Christ Assembly
A number of mission teams have been engaged with our churches and communities here in southern Wisconsin this summer. We are grateful for the individuals, churches, and associations who have made the sacrifices to be with us. Teams have come from several different states. Teams who have come to help us carry out the Great Commission in our local communities.
Churches that have partnered with the teams have received help with block parties, Vacation Bible School, Backyard Bible Clubs, construction projects, and many other ministry tasks. Several new partnerships have started this year. One new partnership is with West End Baptist Church of Valley, Alabama. Their group went to La Crosse, Wisconsin to assist Three Rivers Fellowship Church and La Crosse Hmong Mission Fellowship. Their team conducted block parties and several nights of VBS. They saw numerous people come to Christ.
Since their departure Three Rivers Fellowship Church has had a number of new guests come to check out the worship services.
Vacation Bible School continues to be the leading way that people are coming to know Christ as Savior in Southern Baptist churches. VBS is a great tool to see the disciple making process get started. We are very grateful for own leaders in the SWBA and partners who have come to lead out in VBS to touch the lives of many children. Please be in prayer for all of our churches as they follow up on the work that has been done this summer and is continuing to take place over the next few weeks.
