The 47th Annual Meeting of the Southern Wisconsin Baptist Association was held at East Madison Baptist Church on November 3.    Two churches officially came into the association at the recommendation of the Credentials Team.   Faith Community Baptist Church of Madison and Hispanic Baptist Mission of  Arcadia were officially voted into the SWBA.

Faith Community Baptist Church came into the association through adoption.    Led by Pastor David Smith this church started on the south side of Madison in 1996.   They meet in the worship center of St. Mark’s Lutheran Church in Madison which is located at 605 Spruce St. near the Alliant Energy Center.

Hispanic Baptist Mission came into being when members of the Hispanic work in Austin, Minnesota moved to Arcadia for employment.  Starting with 12 people in June of 2013 this group has now grown to 40 people through evangelistic relationships and bible studies.  Pastor Moises Rodriguez is the church planter as this church joined the SWBA through birth.

We are privileged to have both of these men and their churches join our association.  Our prayer is that the SWBA will partner with them as they join hands in the gospel with us.    Praise God for the work he is doing!!!!
