On Saturday, April 18, we had a historic day at our Spring meeting held at Trinity Baptist Church in Reedsburg. Two churches were officially voted into the Southern Wisconsin Baptist Association by the Executive Team. Christ Fellowship Church of Sun Prairie and Cornerstone Church of Waterloo were voted in unanimously by all present at the meeting.
Christ Fellowship Church is a young church meeting at the Colonial Club in Sun Prairie for Sunday morning worship. This church has been in talks with the SWBA over the past few years. Their pastor is Mike Rudolph and you can find out more about Christ Fellowship Church at http://www.christfellowshipwi.org.
Cornerstone Church is located on the east side of Waterloo where Aaron Sturgill serves as the pastor and Jason Johnson is the associate pastor. Cornerstone has come through some remarkable circumstances in the past year as they experienced a fire last June. They just moved into their newly renovated worship center on Palm Sunday a few weeks ago. You can see the church web site for Cornerstone Church at http://cornerstonewi.org.
We are grateful that God has brought these two churches into partnership with us as we move forward. Both of them have completed the application for affiliation, met with the SWBA Credentials Team, and voted in by the Executive Team. Please be in prayer for these churches and their leaders as we begin partnering with them to fulfill the Great Commission.
